Designed by Algerian architect Imaad Rahmouni, a former colleague of Philippe Starck who has offices in both Paris and Marrakech, the Amizmiz House in Marrakech, Morocco, sits on two tranquil acres of garden-like land. It offers peace and tranquility, while also being perfectly situated for exploring the city.
The resort-like atmosphere of the home set on a two acre garden, is magnified by the stunning indoor-outdoor pool. The villa has clean simple lines: the concept was that of a linear frame with a spine onto which the different spaces have been grafted. The ground floor houses a large living space, which incorporates part of the swimming pool, and it has floor to ceiling windows that fully retract and lead out onto a large semi-covered terrace.
Set in over two acres of garden, Amizmiz House has five bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms, as well as a 1000sqm central living space. The pool flows into the living area where there is a bar, library and dining room with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains. There is also a private fitness room, tennis court, massage room and hamman within the grounds. The whole house is air-conditioned and for the winter there is central heating.
The owners have sourced the furnishings from Bali, France and Morocco, and they are an eclectic mix of vintage, contemporary and traditional with the emphasis on comfort and practicality.
