Since its launch in October last year, Olivewood’s golf course has steadily grown in popularity, with visitors coming from all over South Africa to trial its one of a kind fairways and greens. To provide golfers with a unique experience, the shape of the land was preserved during construction, creating an inspired by nature course that flows with the undulating Wild Coast terrain. Olivewood’s hills and slopes provide an enticing challenge to golfers of all abilities, who can look forward to immaculate ocean views as they navigate this exceptional course. And now, players can unwind in their recently opened halfway house.
Situated between the ninth green and tenth tee, the halfway house provides a perfect place to recuperate between nines. Built using Olivewood’s trademark style, the venue has clear glass walls, allowing for an abundance of natural light and beautiful countryside views. Golfers can peruse the beautiful setting, perhaps spotting one of the estate’s many wildlife, as they indulge in a selection of refreshments.
Comments Ryan Cramp, Olivewood Golf Director: “The new halfway house adds to Olivewood’s five-star golfing experience and is the perfect place to relax while preparing for the trials and tribulations ahead in the second half of our course.”
Olivewood has been created with excellence in mind and with an ambitious plan to become one of the best golf courses in South Africa. As part of that offering, a series of developments are taking shape around the course. Towards the end of last year, an elegant colonial style club house was opened, with Persian carpets, a hand-crafted wooden bar and luxurious open-air verandas adding to the air of refinement. A wine bar, providing light snacks and a kids entertainment area is scheduled to open later this year.
All of Olivewood’s green fees include a drink and a meal at the halfway house and passionate golfers are sure to enjoy this, the latest offering from a course that is steadily becoming synonymous with luxury and an all-round fantastic golfing experience.
