In the vibrant, culturally diverse setting of Maboneng precinct in downtown Johannesburg, Drivelines, designed by New York-based architecture firm LOT-EK and developed by Propertuity, is a 75 000 square foot residential shipping-container development, the largest of its kind in South Africa. Offering unique rental accommodation, the project celebrates the beauty of existing objects and daily activities.
“We wanted to defy the narrowness of the container, to create wider and more gentle spaces for residential use,” said Ada Tolla from LOT-EK.
